Andy seeks to help better his profession and his fellow man through his endeavors, and wishes to serve as a resource for others. He volunteers his time generously for the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, the Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (TACUSPA), and The University of Tulsa.
In addition, Andy has served as a mentor to numerous students, both at The University of Texas at Arlington and at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. At UT Arlington, Andy served as the advisor to the fellows in the Goolsby Leadership Academy, the premier leadership development program for business students. He also served as the advisor to the Freshman Interest Groups for the College of Business.
While at the UNT Health Science Center, Andy has worked closely with student leaders from all academic programs. He was awarded the Thomas Moorman Unsung Hero Award by the Medical Student Government Association in 2010.
Andy has devoted countless hours in service to Pi Kappa Alpha. He has served as the President of the Kappa Epsilon Alumni Association at Rockhurst University, and served as a Re-Founding President and Treasurer of The DFW Area Alumni Association (Alumnus Theta). In 2009, DFWAA was named the Outstanding New Alumni Association for Pi Kappa Alpha. He has also served as a member of the North Texas Advisory Board, which won the Alumni Advisory Board of the Year in 2010.
Individually, Andy served as the Advisor to the Pikes at UT Arlington from 2004-2008. In 2006-2007, Andy was named the Chapter Advisor of the Year by the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. The following year, under Andy’s leadership, the UT Arlington Advisory Board won the Alumni Advisory Board of the Year in 2008.
